Adele curses 33 times during Glastonbury 90 minute concert
During Saturday’s live performance, broadcast by the BBC from the Glastonbury concert, Adele sang like a goddess and cursed like a sailor. According to some unhappy viewers, the pop queen cursed a total of 33 times during the 90 minute set.
Adele, joked on stage. "Do you know how rock 'n' roll I am? Not very, but the BBC had to give me a warning about my potty mouth before I went on. I bet Muse didn't get that."
Adele was very at ease and down-to-earth on stage, keeping the mood light and joyful.
During the concert she even accidently burped on stage, and when messing up lyrics exclaimed
“S–t, I did that wrong. Perfect time to f–k up a song, headlining at Glastonbury.”
Some users however took on Twitter to express their disappointment:
@Poojipants: Great singer, granted but swearing her head off and burping in a fans face at Glastonbury is not classy Adele
@Scoobzz_65: Adele on Glastonbury just brought a child on the stage and she is swearing like a idiot. Fantastic singer but her mouth is awful. Crazy!
@TomlinsonRichie: Great set by @Adele but did she have to swear so much? Sorry kids you can't watch mummy sing at #Glasto2016 cos she's got a #pottymouth
Other fans, used to her shenanigans, seemed very unfazed by this, saying:
@smartin515: Adele's inter-song commentary is the best thing i've ever heard. Just rambling and cursing and being amazing.
@NichollClaire: So people are complaining that Adele was swearing in front of children at at Glastonbury......it's 11pm at night...I am I being naive......?
@wynterwax: I'm enjoying #Adele swearing and chatting away to the crowd at #Glastonbury. It's like they're all down the pub having chats and pints.
Adele however is not a stranger for creating headlines for her potty mouth - just think back to the Brit Awards 2016.
